近日，英国皇家学会公布了2024年新当选的院士及外籍院士名单，他们也是访问学者、博士后及联合培养博士们关注的目标导师。为此知识人网小编推出该文，以飨读者。

当地时间2024年5月16日，英国皇家学会（The Royal Society）公布了新当选的院士名单。华人学者牛津大学路德维希癌症研究所施扬教授与伦敦帝国理工学院教授张晓东教授当选院士。中国科学院院士潘建伟当选外籍院士。同时潘建伟也是本次当选英国皇家学会的外籍院士中唯一的中国科学家。

每年，英国皇家学会院士根据“在自然知识的提高方面，包括数学、工程科学和医学科学方面做出的重大贡献”，最多选举52名新院士和10名新外籍院士。

中国学者当选英国皇家学会院士的学者并不多，此前当选英国皇家学会外籍院士的我国科学家有：杨振宁（1993年）、周光召（2012年）、陈竺（2013年）、高福（2022年）等。以下是今年新当选的三位华人院士简介。

入选华人学者简介

施扬

上海第一医学院（现复旦大学上海医学院）获得学士学位；1987年获得纽约大学医学院分子生物学专业博士学位，此后在普林斯顿大学从事博士后研究，1991年加入哈佛大学医学院，2004年晋升为哈佛大学终身正教授；2016年当选美国艺术与科学院院士；2020年加入牛津大学路德维希癌症研究所；2022年当选美国国家医学院院士。2024年4月，他刚刚当选美国国家科学院院士，如今又成为英国皇家学会院士。

施扬长期从事表观遗传学以及染色质生物学研究并取得重要成就，发现了组蛋白去甲基酶。目前是牛津大学路德维希研究所教授。

张晓东

张晓东教授先后毕业于北京大学、纽约州立大学石溪分校、哈佛大学；2001年起任职于伦敦帝国理工学院，2011年至2014年间担任帝国理工学院结构生物学中心主任。2014年，她开始在伦敦帝国理工学院医学院帮助建立结构生物学科，该科促进并整合伦敦帝国理学院的结构生物学和医学研究。

她致力于利用一系列结构生物学技术（包括X射线晶体学和冷冻电镜）来研究大分子的结构和机制，尤其是那些参与DNA处理的机器。她担任伦敦高分辨率冷冻电镜联合会（LonCEM）管理委员会主席。她是英国皇家学会沃尔夫森研究功绩奖的获得者和威康信托基金会的研究员。她是英国皇家生物学学会（FRSB）（2011年）和欧洲分子生物学组织（EMBO）（2016年）的当选院士

潘建伟

潘建伟，中国科学技术大学常务副校长，中国科学院院士、发展中国家科学院院士，中国科协副主席、欧美同学会副会长。1987年—1995年，潘建伟就读于中国科学技术大学近代物理系，先后获学士、硕士学位；1996年，赴奥地利因斯布鲁克大学攻读博士学位；1999年，获维也纳大学博士学位；1999年—2001年，在维也纳大学实验物理所从事博士后研究；2005年，任合肥微尺度物质科学国家实验室量子物理与量子信息研究部主任；2011年11月，当选为中国科学院院士；2012年6月，任中国科学技术大学校长助理；2013年12月，任中国科学技术大学副校长；2015年5月，任中国科学技术大学常务副校长 ；2024年当选英国皇家学会外籍院士。

潘建伟教授主要从事量子光学、量子信息和量子力学基础问题检验等方面的研究，其科研生涯堪称传奇，35岁回国，41岁当选中科院院士，46岁斩获国家自然科学一等奖！他是我国量子科学领域的领军学者，同时也是拥有世界级影响力的学者，获得这份荣誉是实至名归！
